Snowman Wallhanging

This is the first real pattern I did that wasn't mine. I don't normally do anyone elses patterns because I have so many of my own to do. I love snowmen, so I used two different kinds. The one from the magazine was cool too. But I wanted to put my influence in to it.

It ended up being 34"sq finished. It doesn't have traditional batting in it. I usually have a fairly decent collection of batting in various sizes. Unfortunately, this particular wallhanging is bigger than most I do. Everything was at least two inches short to use. I used an off white tone on tone fabric. The pattern was light enough that it would have never showed through because the top wasn't that light. I put a muslin back on it and used the pretty edge method. I love that method!! With my sewing machine, I outlined the small red blocks and the edges of the heart/candycanes-inside and out.
